Julio was born in Buenos Aires in 1989. He began his artistic career at the early age of 12 through Gymnastics at Conesa Gym. At 17, he got especially interested in salsa dance, which later led him to study and master folk, malambo and contemporary dance. Julio finally met tango dance in 2006, and so went on to join some tango companies as Vértigo Tango, which amazingly mixes tango with aerial dance, and to train with renowned teachers in Capital Federal, Buenos Aires.
Carla was born in Buenos Aires in 1991. Her first steps as an artist were made in the field of musical theatre. At the age of 18, after finishing her studies, she moved to Rosario (Santa Fe) where she continued developing musical theatre with an emphasis on dancing; she mastered ballet, jazz, folk, tango, and contemporary dance. It is in 2013 that Carla’s professional career is officially launched by participating in a musical show produced by Random Creativos in Buenos Aires.
It is when both Julio & Carla start studying and dancing with German Cornejo and Silvio Lavia that they gain the key knowledge of tango salon and stage tango, and that they also become a dance couple. Julio & Carla started then performing at Señor Tango, one of the most well-known tango houses in Buenos Aires. In 2014, they joined Buenos Aires Pasión de Tango at Borges Cultural Centre in Capital Federal, Buenos Aires. In the same year, this couple also joined Vertigo Tango Company, and so merged acrobatics and tango dance in a single awe-inspiring performance.
